Heads up Port Hope…….or should that be “heids” up?

In early June we’re holding 3 scavenger hunts so keep your eyes peeled when you’re downtown Port Hope!

Join in the fun and you could be the proud owner of a handcrafted wooden "heid" fridge magnet, miniature sheep or cow……or ewes and coos as the Scots would say.  As an added bonus we’ll take $10 off the price of your admission to the Highland Games.

Here's how it works

  • Check the clues posted on our Instagram and Facebook pages on May 31st, June 7th and June 14th.

  • Scour historic Port Hope for the “hidden heids” and “ewes and coos”.

  • If your search is successful, keep your treasure and send us a message with a selfie to let us know it’s been found.  You’re also entitled to $10 off your admission to the Highland Games.

Feel free to give us a mention @northumberland_highland_games if you’re spreading the news about your find!

The heids, ewes and coos pictured here are the brainchild of local craftsman Bill Manson who donated his unique fridge magnets and miniature “ewes and coos”. Port Hope’s own Shelby Jones is the genius behind the clues. Come say hello to Bill at the Highland Games where all his creations will be available for purchase.
